Dear LOFAR community,

Apologies if you receive this email more than once.

we are happy to announce our special session

*"Advancing your scientific career post-PhD"*

dedicated especially to *Early Career Researchers* (PhD students and
"young" post-doctoral researchers). It will take place during the upcoming
LOFAR Family Meeting on Tuesday afternoon (13.06. 16:00-18:00).

During the session various career opportunities and fellowships will be
presented, with contributions from more senior researchers, and the
opportunity for open discussions with them.

This session will be of great help for early career researchers that plan
to continue working in academia as insight into most of the options
available will be given.

Afterwards (from 19:00 on) yet to be defined evening activities for the
ECRs will follow. Of course, you can also join only for the session or the
evening activity!

We encourage all Early Career Researchers to participate in this session
and in the whole LOFAR Family Meeting.

*If you are interested in joining our evening activity, please let us know
by filling out this super short google form: *

This will allow us to roughly assess the group size for any activities.*

We also ask everyone to circulate the email to possible interested
researchers, since supporting the career development of young scientists is
a topic not only relevant for ECRs, but also for the LOFAR community in
general.

Best regards,

the LOFAR ECR committee
